Susan Kirr has worked in the film industry for over 13 years. She produced the independent features Only in America and The Keyman, as well as the documentary Bike Like U Mean It. In addition, she production managed Grand Champion and Rolling Kansas, and worked as an assistant director on Natural Selection and Just Sue Me.

Gay Studebaker was the Artistic Director of the award winning theatre group, The South Manhattan Regional Theatre. The short film Mary & Claire is her film directorial debut and was funded by The Pennsylvania Council of the Arts and The Austin Film Society. She has written a Sundance Film Festival award winning screenplay Ghost Dance, a fictionalized biography of Sitting Bull, the Sioux Chief and Medicine Man. Studebaker has done production design for several features including Jeff Goldblum's Perfume.



David Silverstone

David Silverstone has been working in all areas of film production for over seven years. He has a BA in the Arts from San Francisco State University. David has worked on many films such as Batman & Robin, as well as numerous independent films, and was the Senior Producer at Edge TV Networks. He is committed to the production of The Great Bamboosical because of its strong environmental message and the effect it will have in the healing of the planet.



Amy Maner

Amy Maner has a Masters in Fine Art, with emphasis in directing and acting, from Texas Tech. She has experience in all aspects of film-making. Her resume includes work on Spy Kids (Miramax), American Outlaws (Morgan Creek Films), and Leap of Faith (Paramount Pictures). She produced for Brother's Dogs & God (Trick Dog Films) and has produced and directed The Lubbock Lights Project.



Arnie Wong

Arne Wong's experience as the executive producer/creative director of Stone Studios, Inc. a Los Angeles based animation production company spans over two decades. He will be creating and directing the animation sequences for The Great Bamboosical. Trained by the world renown Walt Disney team he is responsible for projects such as Tron, T2-3D ride at Universal Studios, and General Cinemas latest animation sequences.



Liz McGrath

Animation Director

Born to an ex-catholic priest and nun in Hollywood California in 1972, Liz McGrath and family soon found themselves clashing terribly over the strict religious environment. This environment coupled with influences by the religious iconography inspired what was to become her future style. On arrival back to the states and after confinement in a Baptist girls home, several odd art jobs, a certificate of fashion from Pasadena City College, a divorce, a fanzine (Censor This) and a punk rock band later (Tongue), her career took shape, and led her to work as an art director for animated film , which has not just influenced her current artistic endeavors but enhanced them as well. Liz McGrath's dioramas are static/traveling freak shows - displaying rotting, subhuman figures luxuriously dressed for your pleasure, perusal and contempt. Steve Busti

Steve Busti has been working in film production for twelve years. He has a BFA in Graphic Design from The College of New Jersey and a Masters in film production from Austin FilmWorks. Steve has worked on numerous independent films, big-budget studio films, and was the founder and publisher of Flashback Comics in the early '90s, and has plans to adapt those stories to the big screen.



Jeanette Scott
Art Director

Jeanette Scott has worked as a set decorator for over ten years for independent and feature-length films. Jeanette has a Masters of Fine Arts from the University of Texas-Austin.

Jeanette worked as the art director for "Man With the Perfect Swing", and as the set decorator for The Newton Boys (Fox), Double Jeopardy (Paramount), The Faculty (Miramax), and the box office hits Spy Kids, and Spy Kids II.

Igor graduated from Columbia College, Chicago in 1985 with a BA in Film/TV Production & a certificate of completion a 3 year Sound Engineering course. He has produced, played and recorded with several blues musicians including Pinetop Perkins, Sunnyland Slim, Clarence 'Gatemouth' Brown & Greg Allman. He has worked on numerous TV shows, series, music videos and feature films.



Roberta Lowery

Roberta comes to us after her involvement as production manager with Sweetwater, a children's film by Marci Allen Winters. In Aug of 2000 she started doing business in Austin, TX as Reaudan's Promotions & Productions. Her strong belief in the message & integrity of this production makes her committed to seeing The Great Bamboosical come to life.



Nick Littlejohn
Camera Assistant

A relative of John Little, Robin Hood's friend from the Sherwood Forest, Nick Littlejohn turned vegetarian at 13 when he moved to Austin, TX. Nick worked on many feature films during high school and college as a camera assistant and cinematographer.

Nowadays, Nick's officially vegan, lives in California and is focused on spirituality, permaculture, sustainable energy and cleanly fueled cars.



Brian Bridewell

Brian Bridewell attended Morehead State University where he received a BBA in Accounting with a Minor in Art. After moving to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, he pursued a career in the yachting business where he honed skills in problem solving, seamanship, electronics, mechanics, carpentry, and hand, air, and airless finish painting. Brian became disgusted by the waste and pollution, left FT. Lauderdale and became a Vegetarian. He traveled on his motorcycle until he fell in love with Austin, Texas. There he decided to pursue a career as a crew member in movie productions as well as an activist for many compassionate causes. Brian also stars as a CowPunk Milkman in The Great Bamboosical.



Fairoh
Script Consultant

Fairoh has worked 25 years as a Script Consultant in Hollywood, and taught generations of writers at UCLA. In Viki King's book The Inner Movie Method, she acknowledges Syd Field and Fairoh as the two great teachers. She calls Fairoh "...Samurai Scriptwriter, who taught us how to write from the heart, rewrite from the head." Emmy award winners Ken Levine and David Isaacs of MASH, Cheers, etc. say, "What he taught us 20 years ago is as fresh and valid now as then." Fairoh was the Senior Script doctor for The Great Bamboosical and it now has all the markings for an all time classic film.



Jimmy George
Composer

In addition to writing short stories, Jimmy George has written poetry and plays; composed and recorded music, and has served as the house photographer for austindaze.com magazine. Jimmy has also run jga's bigeye photography for working artists and musicians; and breeds full contact origami muskrats; yet amidst it all he still finds time to dabble in the film and theatre realm. Jimmy wrote several of the songs for musical The Great Bamboosical.

Musician

Davino lives in Maui and is a top-rate electric guitar player. He currently plays in the band of country legend Willie Nelson. He plays guitar for several of songs featured in The Great Bamboosical.



Richard Steiger
Recording Engineer

After graduating in 1988 with a Masters of Art in Music (Ethnomusicology), Richard joined the theater group Plus Fire Performance. He also began learning the dumbek, a Middle Easter drum, and became a member of the San Marcos Renaissance Faire Gypsy Camp stageband. He is currently a member of the Persian musical collective Darvak and a freelance musician. Richard was the recording engineer for several songs on The Great Bamboosical soundtrack.
